Call to Repent - Repent or Perish
1There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
The Parable of the Barren Fig Tree

6He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
Healing on the Sabbath - A Spirit of Infirmity
10And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
11And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
12And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
15The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
17And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

18Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
19It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
20And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

28There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
29And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
31The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
32And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
33Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

34O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

A morte dos galileus e a queda da torre de Siloé
1Ora, naquele mesmo tempo estavam presentes alguns que lhe falavam dos galileus cujo sangue Pilatos misturara com os sacrifícios deles.
2Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Pensais vós que esses foram maiores pecadores do que todos os galileus, por terem padecido tais coisas?
3Não, eu vos digo; antes, se não vos arrependerdes, todos de igual modo perecereis.
4Ou pensais que aqueles dezoito, sobre os quais caiu a torre de Siloé e os matou, foram mais culpados do que todos os outros habitantes de Jerusalém?
5Não, eu vos digo; antes, se não vos arrependerdes, todos de igual modo perecereis.
A parábola da figueira estéril

6E passou a narrar esta parábola: Certo homem tinha uma figueira plantada na sua vinha; e indo procurar fruto nela, e não o achou.
7Disse então ao viticultor: Eis que há três anos venho procurar fruto nesta figueira, e não o acho; corta-a; para que ocupa ela ainda a terra inutilmente?
8Respondeu-lhe ele: Senhor, deixa-a este ano ainda, até que eu cave em derredor, e lhe deite estrume;
9e se no futuro der fruto, bem; mas, se não, cortá-la-ás.
A cura de uma enferma
10Jesus estava ensinando numa das sinagogas no sábado.
11E estava ali uma mulher que tinha um espírito de enfermidade havia já dezoito anos; e andava encurvada, e não podia de modo algum endireitar-se.
12Vendo-a Jesus, chamou-a, e disse-lhe: Mulher, estás livre da tua enfermidade;
13e impôs-lhe as mãos e imediatamente ela se endireitou, e glorificava a Deus.
14Então o chefe da sinagoga, indignado porque Jesus curara no sábado, tomando a palavra disse à multidão: Seis dias há em que se deve trabalhar; vinde, pois, neles para serdes curados, e não no dia de sábado.
15Respondeu-lhe, porém, o Senhor: Hipócritas, no sábado não desprende da manjedoura cada um de vós o seu boi, ou jumento, para o levar a beber?
16E não devia ser solta desta prisão, no dia de sábado, esta que é filha de Abraão, a qual há dezoito anos Satanás tinha presa?
17E dizendo ele essas coisas, todos os seus adversário ficavam envergonhados; e todo o povo se alegrava por todas as coisas gloriosas que eram feitas por ele.

18Ele, pois, dizia: A que é semelhante o reino de Deus, e a que o compararei?
19É semelhante a um grão de mostarda que um homem tomou e lançou na sua horta; cresceu, e fez-se árvore, e em seus ramos se aninharam as aves do céu.

20E disse outra vez: A que compararei o reino de Deus?
21É semelhante ao fermento que uma mulher tomou e misturou com três medidas de farinha, até ficar toda ela levedada.
A porta estreita

23E alguém lhe perguntou: Senhor, são poucos os que se salvam? Ao que ele lhes respondeu:
24Porfiai por entrar pela porta estreita; porque eu vos digo que muitos procurarão entrar, e não poderão.
25Quando o dono da casa se tiver levantado e cerrado a porta, e vós começardes, de fora, a bater à porta, dizendo: Senhor, abre-nos; e ele vos responder: Não sei donde vós sois;
26então começareis a dizer: Comemos e bebemos na tua presença, e tu ensinaste nas nossas ruas;
27e ele vos responderá: Não sei donde sois; apartai-vos de mim, vós todos os que praticais a iniquidade.
28Ali haverá choro e ranger de dentes quando virdes Abraão, Isaque, Jacó e todos os profetas no reino de Deus, e vós lançados fora.
29Muitos virão do oriente e do ocidente, do norte e do sul, e reclinar-se-ão à mesa no reino de Deus.
30Pois há últimos que serão primeiros, e primeiros que serão últimos.
A mensagem de Jesus a Herodes. O lamento sobre Jerusalém – Mt 23.37-39
31Naquela mesma hora chegaram alguns fariseus que lhe disseram: Sai, e retira-te daqui, porque Herodes quer matar-te.
32Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Ide e dizei a essa raposa: Eis que vou expulsando demônios e fazendo curas, hoje e amanhã, e no terceiro dia serei consumado.
33Importa, contudo, caminhar hoje, amanhã, e no dia seguinte; porque não convém que morra um profeta fora de Jerusalém.

34Jerusalém, Jerusalém, que matas os profetas, e apedrejas os que a ti são enviados! Quantas vezes quis eu ajuntar os teus filhos, como a galinha ajunta a sua ninhada debaixo das asas, e não quiseste!
35Eis aí, abandonada vos é a vossa casa. E eu vos digo que não me vereis até que venha o tempo em que digais: Bendito aquele que vem em nome do Senhor.

Arrepentíos o pereceréis
1 En este mismo tiempo estaban allí algunos que le contaban acerca de los galileos cuya sangre Pilato había mezclado con los sacrificios de ellos.
2 Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Pensáis que estos galileos, porque padecieron tales cosas, eran más pecadores que todos los galileos?
3 Os digo: No; antes si no os arrepentís, todos pereceréis igualmente.
4 O aquellos dieciocho sobre los cuales cayó la torre en Siloé, y los mató, ¿pensáis que eran más culpables que todos los hombres que habitan en Jerusalén?

Parábola de la higuera estéril

6 Dijo también esta parábola: Tenía un hombre una higuera plantada en su viña, y vino a buscar fruto en ella, y no lo halló.
7 Y dijo al viñador: He aquí, hace tres años que vengo a buscar fruto en esta higuera, y no lo hallo; córtala; ¿para qué inutiliza también la tierra?
8 Él entonces, respondiendo, le dijo: Señor, déjala todavía este año, hasta que yo cave alrededor de ella, y la abone.

Jesús sana a una mujer en el día de reposo
10 Enseñaba Jesús en una sinagoga en el día de reposo;
11 y había allí una mujer que desde hacía dieciocho años tenía espíritu de enfermedad, y andaba encorvada, y en ninguna manera se podía enderezar.
12 Cuando Jesús la vio, la llamó y le dijo: Mujer, eres libre de tu enfermedad.
13 Y puso las manos sobre ella; y ella se enderezó luego, y glorificaba a Dios.
14 Pero el principal de la sinagoga, enojado de que Jesús hubiese sanado en el día de reposo, dijo a la gente: Seis días hay en que se debe trabajar; en éstos, pues, venid y sed sanados, y no en día de reposo.
15 Entonces el Señor le respondió y dijo: Hipócrita, cada uno de vosotros ¿no desata en el día de reposo su buey o su asno del pesebre y lo lleva a beber?
16 Y a esta hija de Abraham, que Satanás había atado dieciocho años, ¿no se le debía desatar de esta ligadura en el día de reposo?
17 Al decir él estas cosas, se avergonzaban todos sus adversarios; pero todo el pueblo se regocijaba por todas las cosas gloriosas hechas por él.

26 Entonces comenzaréis a decir: Delante de ti hemos comido y bebido, y en nuestras plazas enseñaste.
27 Pero os dirá: Os digo que no sé de dónde sois; apartaos de mí todos vosotros, hacedores de maldad.
28 Allí será el llanto y el crujir de dientes, cuando veáis a Abraham, a Isaac, a Jacob y a todos los profetas en el reino de Dios, y vosotros estéis excluidos.
29 Porque vendrán del oriente y del occidente, del norte y del sur, y se sentarán a la mesa en el reino de Dios.
30 Y he aquí, hay postreros que serán primeros, y primeros que serán postreros.

31 Aquel mismo día llegaron unos fariseos, diciéndole: Sal, y vete de aquí, porque Herodes te quiere matar.
32 Y les dijo: Id, y decid a aquella zorra: He aquí, echo fuera demonios y hago curaciones hoy y mañana, y al tercer día termino mi obra.
33 Sin embargo, es necesario que hoy y mañana y pasado mañana siga mi camino; porque no es posible que un profeta muera fuera de Jerusalén.
34 !!Jerusalén, Jerusalén, que matas a los profetas, y apedreas a los que te son enviados! !!Cuántas veces quise juntar a tus hijos, como la gallina a sus polluelos debajo de sus alas, y no quisiste!
35 He aquí, vuestra casa os es dejada desierta; y os digo que no me veréis, hasta que llegue el tiempo en que digáis: Bendito el que viene en nombre del Señor.
